Building Excellence With Pride Since 1945
Our History
CCB opened in 1945 as Consolidated Constructors & Builders, Inc. We were initially based in New York City, with a branch office in Portland, Maine. Less than two decades later, in 1963, our operations were entirely moved to Portland in order to better serve the growing northern New England market.
In 1980, CCB was acquired by H.E. Sargent, Inc. By the late 1980s, we had evolved to meet the needs of the time and the region, adding the in-house capability to perform industrial piping. Doing so complemented our millwright, rigging, and maintenance services and allowed us to better serve the demands of the paper mill market.
In the early 1990s we became an independent ownership group, welcoming Donald Starr and Beth Sturtevant as principals. Beth remains with the company today, having taken majority ownership and becoming president of CCB in 2004. In 2012, Marc Belanger, Jr. and Sean Ferguson joined her as owners. CCB continues to evolve and adapt, building on our strong history to deliver excellence that meets the needs of the 21st century.
